Thanks for visiting! I’d recommend a sleeping bag liner – make one or buy one. If you get too hot use the sleeping bag as a quilt – just drape it over you. If the weather is really hot just use the liner. The MontBell #3 is very light, compresses down very small and is a nice sleeping bag.

If you are having trouble with being cold, it may not be your sleeping bag that is the problem. You lose heat through your sleeping pad into the ground – so a good quality insulating sleeping pad is essential, especially if the ground is cold. I hope that helps you.

We live in Hong Kong and just worry about a #3 montbell will be too hot for us. However in the past campings we never get warm enough due to a wrong choice of sleeping bags.
